Bradford: A delegation from the Jammu and Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International (JKSDMI), led by Chairman Raja Najabat Hussain, recently met with Judith Cummins, Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons, to discuss the current situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Raja Najabat Hussain provided an overview of JKSDMI’s ongoing lobbying strategy, which aims to bolster efforts, particularly with newly elected Labour MPs in the UK Parliament. He highlighted the success of their current campaign and their efforts to strengthen relationships with new allies in the British Parliament to raise awareness about the Kashmir issue and the actions of Indian forces in IIOJK.
Judith Cummins recognized the important contribution of JKSDMI in generating political and community support. She reiterated her commitment to the principles of democracy, the rule of law, and the right to self-determination for the people of Kashmir. Cummins also commended JKSDMI’s persistent engagement with Labour Party politicians and assured her support for their ongoing initiatives in Parliament.
