JAMMU, The Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation (JKRTC) workers in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir conducted notable protest demonstrations in Jammu and Srinagar cities, advocating for their rights and demands.
According to Kashmir Media Service, numerous JKRTC workers, headed by Chairman Wajahat Hussain and provincial general secretary Dilbagh Singh, gathered at a park beside the river Tawi in Jammu under the JKRTC Workers Union banner. During the protest, they displayed placards and chanted slogans in favor of their demands, particularly emphasizing the need for regularization of their services.
Srinagar also witnessed a similar demonstration led by Union leaders Mohammad Yousuf Khan and Ghulam Nabi Wani. The JKRTC Union leaders issued a warning to the Corporation’s Management, advising them to address the workers’ concerns promptly. Failure to do so, they stated, would compel the workers to initiate actions ranging from pen-down and tool-down strikes to a comprehensive strike across the occupied region.
