JKPL condemns arrest of party Chairman, others in IIOJK

Srinagar, September 10, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) has strongly condemned the re-arrest of party Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza and other Hurriyat leaders and activists in South Kashmir.

The JKPL spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the re-arrest of ailing party Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza and other Hurriyat leaders and activists, including Zahoor Ahmed Sheikh, Ashiq Narchoor, Engineer Fayaz and Adil Ahmed as unjustified, undemocratic and vengeful.

He said the leaders were earlier arrest on September 01 just after passing away of the veteran Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani and were later released on 6th September after six days of illegal detention. The spokesman added that such dictatorial measures were taken by the authorities as a policy based on political vendetta.
