JKNF Clarifies Muneer Khan’s Shift to Pro-India Politics Is Personal, Not Policy-Driven

Srinagar, The Jammu and Kashmir National Front (JKNF) has officially distanced itself from Muneer Khan’s recent move to join pro-India politics, emphasizing that his decision does not reflect the group’s stance or its leadership’s views.

According to Kashmir Media Service, JKNF spokesman Muhammad Haseeb Wani stated on Thursday that Muneer Khan has never been affiliated with JKNF. Wani underscored that Khan’s political shift was a personal choice and unrelated to the principles upheld by Nayeem Ahmed Khan, the incarcerated chairman of JKNF, who remains a steadfast advocate for Kashmiri self-determination.

Wani criticized the Indian media’s portrayal of the event as significant, dismissing it as an exaggeration and calling it a minor incident being blown out of proportion. He expressed concern over the Indian media’s narratives and urged them to instead investigate the outcomes for those who have previously joined mainstream Indian politics from Kashmir.

The spokesman also reflected on the historical outcomes for local politicians who aligned with New Delhi, suggesting that those who have been used as political instruments by the central government typically do not maintain lasting influence or respect within the community.
