Muzaffarabad: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), together with the Students Liberation Front (SLF), held a torchlight rally in Muzaffarabad to express solidarity with their detained chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, who is currently held in Tihar Jail, New Delhi.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the rally was orchestrated by Khawaja Manzoor Ahmad Chishti, JKLF’s central secretary of Finance. Gathering in the Chhatar area of Muzaffarabad, the event drew a large crowd of youths vocalizing their demand for Malik’s release and condemning the actions of the Indian government in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The demonstrators, led by prominent local leaders, criticized the Indian administration under Prime Minister Narendra Modi for what they described as political repression and urged international human rights bodies to intervene. The event underscores the ongoing regional tensions and the call for international attention to the human rights situation in the area.
