Jhal Magsi District Intensifies Polio Eradication Efforts with New Campaign

Jhal Magsi: Following directives from Deputy Commissioner Syed Rahmatullah Shah, a significant polio vaccination drive was conducted in the Jhal Magsi district, targeting children up to five years old in the Seed Farm and Gandawah Bazar areas. The campaign, led by Assistant Commissioner Gandawah Abdul Majeed Muhammad Hosni, was aimed at ensuring no child is left at risk of the debilitating disease.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Assistant Commissioner Hosni personally monitored the vaccination teams as they administered polio drops. He also interacted with the teams to assess progress towards meeting the campaign’s targets and underscored the urgency of the initiative by stating the need to utilize all available resources to eradicate the disease.

During his visits, Hosni emphasized the important role that the vaccination teams play in the national effort to eliminate polio, which remains a persistent threat to health and wellbeing in Pakistan. The campaign is part of broader efforts by the government to enhance public health measures and safeguard children from diseases that can be prevented with timely immunization.
