Jeddah Forum Highlights Kashmir Self-Determination Issues


Jeddah, A significant meeting focusing on the current situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, involving leaders from various religious, social, and political parties of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the event featured Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan, former AJK Prime Minister, as the guest of honor, with Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Secretary General of the World Kashmir Awareness Forum, serving as the chief guest.



The discussion was presided over by Sardar Waqas Inayat, President of the Jammu Kashmir Oversees Community in Jeddah. The speakers emphasized the critical need for self-determination in Kashmir, aligning with the United Nations Charter, and voiced concerns over the potential for a nuclear crisis between India and Pakistan due to ongoing disputes. They also called for the international community’s intervention to facilitate a peaceful resolution and the immediate release of detained Kashmiri leaders.
