Japan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Hosts Farewell Reception

Islamabad: H.E. Mr. WADA Mitsuhiro, the Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, hosted a farewell reception at his Official Residence in Islamabad, marking the end of his three-year tenure. Ambassador WADA is set to depart on November 19 to assume his new role as Japan’s Ambassador to Croatia.

According to Embassy of Japan In Pakistan, Ambassador WADA reflected on his time in Pakistan, emphasizing the efforts made in economic cooperation, cultural exchange, and personal interaction to strengthen the historical ties between Japan and Pakistan. He highlighted the 70th anniversary of Japan’s official development assistance (ODA) to Pakistan, underscoring the importance of human aspects and collaboration with local communities.

Ambassador WADA also acknowledged the role of cultural exchanges and organizations like the Pakistan Japan Cultural Association in bridging gaps between the two nations. He expressed gratitude to individuals who have worked to strengthen Japan-Pakistan relations and expressed optimism about Pakistan’s potential amidst current challenges. Ambassador AKAMATSU Shuichi is expected to succeed him in late November.
