Jammu Residents Protest Administration’s Failure to Provide Basic Utilities

Jammu, Workers from the Dogra Front Shiv Sena (DFSS) took to the streets of Jammu city to protest against the administration’s failure to provide essential utilities such as power and water amid rising temperatures in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the protest, led by DFSS president Ashok Gupta, saw demonstrators carrying empty buckets and water pots, vocally expressing their frustration over the continued lack of adequate electricity and water supply. Gupta criticized the local government’s inability to fulfill promises of reliable utility services, especially during the intense summer heat, stating that children were suffering the most due to these shortages.

The situation has become critical as the region experiences temperatures up to 45 degrees Celsius, exacerbating the discomfort and hardship faced by residents. This protest follows a recent demonstration by a group of women at a local railway station, who blocked trains to draw attention to the severe water crisis.
