Jamaat-e-Islami Hosts International Kashmir Conference in Islamabad


Islamabad, An International Kashmir Conference was held in Islamabad, organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir, bringing together various leaders and activists to discuss the ongoing situation in Kashmir and advocate for the region’s self-determination and freedom from Indian rule.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the event was chaired by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Azad Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan. Deputy Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaquat Baloch compared the situations in Gaza and Kashmir, condemning the actions of Israel and India respectively. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri people and stressed the importance of resolving both the Kashmir and Palestine issues for global peace.



Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Khan emphasized that without granting Kashmiris their right to self-determination, peace in South Asia would remain elusive. He vowed to continue international advocacy for Kashmir’s freedom. The conference also saw calls from other speakers for OIC countries to boycott India to pressure it over its policies in Kashmir. The conference highlighted the significant role played by the Kashmiri diaspora in bringing international attention to the issue.
