Jaffarabad Ramps Up Drainage System Maintenance Ahead of Monsoon Season

Jaffarabad, In anticipation of the upcoming monsoon season, Jaffarabad district authorities have initiated urgent maintenance to strengthen the embankments of the area’s drainage system. This proactive measure aims to prevent potential flooding and safeguard communities against the seasonal rains.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Jaffarabad Azhar Shehzad, and supervised by Executive Engineer Drainage Mudassar Khosa, the work includes reinforcing weak embankments with heavy machinery to handle any emergency. Assistant Commissioner Jhatpat, alongside Sub-Divisional Drainage Officer Naseebullah Khosa, conducted reviews of the ongoing efforts, highlighting the swift progress in bolstering the drainage infrastructure.

The local government’s efforts reflect a broader strategy to mitigate flood risks and ensure public safety, demonstrating a structured response to weather-related challenges.
