ITP Manages Traffic Smoothly During Chehlum Procession

Islamabad: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) successfully managed traffic during the Chehlum procession, ensuring minimal disruption following directives from Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

A special traffic plan was executed by the ITP to facilitate the religious event. The procession began and ended at the central Imambargah in G-6, following a designated route. To accommodate this, roads along the procession’s path were closed, with alternative routes offered to maintain traffic flow.

Chief Traffic Officer, Captain (retd) Syed Zeeshan Haider, emphasized the importance of legal parking practices. He advised the public to use designated parking areas and to avoid illegal parking to support a coordinated traffic system.

ITP personnel were deployed to guide citizens through alternative routes and mitigate inconvenience. The public was encouraged to cooperate with the police and adhere to traffic guidelines.

The efforts exemplify the ITP’s commitment to maintaining order and ensuring the safety of citizens during large public gatherings.
