Italian Naval Vessels Conduct Joint Maritime Exercises with Pakistan Navy in Karachi

Karachi: Italian Navy ships ITS CAVOUR and ITS ALPINO concluded a three-day visit to Karachi from October 14-16, during which they participated in a bilateral exercise with the Pakistan Navy in the North Arabian Sea. This exercise was designed to bolster interoperability and enhance the professional skills of both navies through joint maritime operations.

According to Pakistan Navy, the visit included a series of engagements between senior naval officials and an Italian delegation led by Italy’s Ambassador to Pakistan. Discussions focused on strengthening naval cooperation and expanding trade relationships between the two countries. The Capability Director of the Italian Defence General Staff also participated in exchanges that highlighted shared security interests and strategies.

The Italian Ambassador underscored Italy’s commitment to enhancing naval and economic ties with Pakistan, reflecting a mutual interest in securing maritime routes and ensuring regional stability. The joint exercise demonstrated the Pakistan Navy’s ongoing commitment to fostering international collaboration to ensure a secure maritime order in the region.
