Islamabad, Caretaker Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Dr. Umar Saif, has emphasized the necessity of implementing structural reforms to foster sustainable economic growth in Pakistan. In a recent video message, he discussed the potential of these reforms in setting a foundation for future policy-making.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Saif pointed to the Special Investment Facilitation Council as a significant initiative in this direction. He described the council as a beacon of hope, noting its commitment to ensuring policy continuity, which is vital for the nation’s economic progression.
The Minister expressed that long-awaited policy reforms are essential to provide the upcoming government with a solid foundation for developing service-oriented policies. These reforms, he implied, are crucial for enhancing the effectiveness and responsiveness of government services, particularly in the information technology and telecommunication sectors.
