Srinagar, In an inspiring visit to Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), prominent Islamic scholar Sheikh Ashraf Effendi, originating from Turkey but currently based in Germany, addressed a large assembly at the Jamia Masjid in Islamabad district. His message focused on the commendable perseverance of the Kashmiri people amidst their ongoing struggles.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Sheikh Effendi’s visit drew a significant crowd, including men, women, and children, to the historic mosque, underscoring the community’s respect and eagerness to hear his insights. During the congregational prayers, Effendi emphasized the importance of unity and selflessness within the Muslim community worldwide, urging individuals to look beyond personal gains.
Highlighting the broader challenges faced by Muslims globally, Sheikh Effendi critiqued the tendency to pray for materialistic achievements while many in the Ummah endure severe hardships. He called for prayers that encompass the well-being and relief of the entire Muslim community, especially pointing out the suffering in regions like Gaza.
Sheikh Effendi lamented the departure from the teachings and practices of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a core issue affecting the Muslim community, attributing ongoing distress to this deviation. Specifically addressing the Kashmiri attendees, he lauded their patience and steadfastness in the face of adversity, offering reassurances of divine rewards for their resilience.
