Islamabad Traffic Police to Enhance Operations for Smoother City Travel

Islamabad, In a comprehensive effort to improve city traffic conditions, DIG Operations Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza, convened a significant meeting with traffic police officials at the Traffic Police Headquarters. The session focused on several critical directives aimed at ensuring efficient traffic management and enhancing public travel facilities throughout Islamabad.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting was attended by SSP Traffic Muhammad Sarfraz Virk and various zonal DSPs. DIG Raza emphasized the necessity for traffic officers to perform their duties diligently and lawfully, highlighting the importance of smooth traffic flow and safe travel across the city. He issued several directives, including the enhancement of the Traffic Police education team, intensification of campaigns against hazardous practices like one-wheeling, and stricter actions against vehicles with fancy number plates, tinted glasses, and unlicensed drivers.

Further initiatives outlined by DIG Raza included the expansion of mobile traffic services to educational institutions and critical areas, eradication of illegal parking at major commercial spots, and increased activity on Islamabad Traffic Police FM Radio. He also stressed the importance of improving the welfare of officers on duty and recognizing the performance of those who excel.

The meeting underscored the commitment of the Islamabad traffic authorities to protect citizens’ lives and property and to maintain a fluid traffic system in the federal capital as top priorities.
