Islamabad Traffic Police Implements Effective Measures to Maintain Order During Eid

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Traffic Police successfully executed a detailed traffic management plan during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, ensuring smooth traffic flow across the city. Following the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, significant actions were taken to curb reckless driving and ensure public safety.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, under the leadership of Chief Traffic Officer Capt. (retd) Hamzah Humayun, the police took strict measures against reckless motorcyclists, focusing on those engaged in one-wheeling and hooliganism. As part of the enforcement efforts, legal actions were initiated against over 1,000 motorcyclists, and more than 250 motorcycles were impounded for severe traffic violations.

CTO Islamabad Hamzah Humayun reported that no incidents of one-wheeling, racing, or drifting were recorded during the holidays, attributing this success to the proactive measures taken by the traffic police. The efforts of the police were recognized and appreciated by citizens, with over 500 traffic officers deployed across major roads to facilitate a smooth traffic flow and allow residents to celebrate Eid peacefully. “We are on the roads so you can celebrate Eid safely,” Humayun stated.
