Islamabad Traffic Police Bolsters Presence at Weekly Bazaars to Ease Congestion

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has strengthened its presence at weekly bazaars, deploying additional officers to ensure a smooth flow of traffic, as directed by Chief Traffic Officer Captain (retd) Syed Zeeshan Haider. This initiative aims to protect citizens from traffic jams and maintain an organized system around bustling market areas.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Abdul Hafeez delivered a briefing to officers stationed near the bazaars, emphasizing the importance of diligence in their duties. Officers have been strategically assigned to all internal and external routes, parking areas, and sensitive locations to prevent disorder.

The Chief Traffic Officer has urged citizens to use designated parking zones to avoid traffic disruptions, warning of legal repercussions for violations. Captain Haider reassured that the Islamabad Traffic Police remains vigilant in ensuring the convenience and safety of the public.

Haider emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and demonstrating civility, stating that safeguarding citizens’ lives and property, alongside ensuring smooth traffic flow, remains a top priority for the Islamabad Police.
