Islamabad to Host Global Health Security Summit Focused on Pandemic Preparedness

Islamabad, The capital of Pakistan is set to host a two-day global health security summit starting tomorrow, focusing on equitable pandemic preparedness and response measures.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the announcement was made by the caretaker Minister for National Health Services, Dr. Nadeem Jan, and the caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, during a news conference in Islamabad today. Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar is scheduled to inaugurate the summit, which will be attended by over seventy national and international delegates.

Dr. Nadeem Jan emphasized the summit’s significant goal of ensuring equal access to facilities, human resources, vaccines, and financing for all countries to effectively manage outbreaks and pandemics. The Minister highlighted the importance of global cooperation and shared responsibility in health security.

The Information Minister, Murtaza Solangi, remarked that hosting the summit is a notable achievement for Pakistan, showcasing its commitment to addressing global health challenges.

The summit is expected to facilitate discussions and collaborations among various countries and international organizations, aiming to build a more resilient and equitable global health system.
