Islamabad Rally Commemorates Burhan Wani’s 8th Martyrdom Anniversary

Islamabad: A significant rally was held on Constitution Avenue today to mark the eighth anniversary of the martyrdom of Burhan Muzaffar Wani, a well-known Kashmiri youth leader.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the event was organized by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and the Kashmir Liberation Cell. It drew participation from Hurriyat leaders of the AJK Chapter, residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and a diverse group of individuals, including women. The rally featured banners and placards bearing slogans condemning the Indian government’s occupation of Kashmir and supporting the Kashmiri freedom movement.

Participants paid tribute to Burhan Muzaffar Wani, celebrating his legacy as an icon of the Kashmiri freedom struggle and a symbol of resistance and resilience. They also condemned the ongoing human rights violations committed by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Moreover, the rally attendees reaffirmed their commitment to continuing Wani’s mission until Kashmir is liberated from Indian control. They called on the international community, especially the United Nations, to intervene and support the resolution of the Kashmir dispute, advocating for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination in line with United Nations Security Council resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri populace.
