Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have commended the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for its pivotal role in safeguarding Pakistan’s airspace and upholding national sovereignty.

On the occasion of Pakistan Air Force Day, President Zardari lauded the PAF for its valor and sacrifices during the 1965 war. He emphasized that the day serves not only as a remembrance of past victories but also as an honor to the enduring spirit of service and devotion within the PAF.

The President expressed deep respect for the martyrs and veterans, acknowledging their courage and sacrifices that continue to inspire the nation. He highlighted the extraordinary bravery and determination displayed by PAF warriors during the 1965 war.

Zardari noted that whether in the 1965 war or in more recent conflicts like Marka-e-Haq Bunyan-um-Marsoos, PAF air warriors have consistently met challenges with decisive responses, instilling national pride. He affirmed the PAF’s modern capabilities as a robust guarantee of Pakistan’s security.

Prime Minister Sharif echoed these sentiments, praising the PAF for its professionalism and strength over the decades, particularly during air combats. He acknowledged the PAF’s decisive role in Marka-e-Haq alongside other armed forces.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the observance of Air Force Day serves to remind future generations of the dedication, determination, and bravery of the PAF in protecting the nation.
