Islamabad Police to Enforce Strict Action for Section 144 Violations

Islamabad, The Islamabad Capital Police have issued a stern warning regarding the enforcement of section 144 in the Federal Capital, indicating that violations will be met with strict action. This announcement comes amid concerns over illegal gatherings around the Election Commission and other government institutions, which are considered not only violations of the law but also criminal acts.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the ICT Police spokesperson emphasized that while peaceful protest within the confines of the law is a right afforded to all citizens, any illegal actions would be addressed with firmness. The police are taking a proactive stance to maintain public order and ensure the safety and security of governmental institutions in Islamabad.

The spokesperson also made an appeal to the citizens, urging them not to participate in illegal activities that contravene the imposed restrictions under section 144. This measure is part of broader efforts by the Islamabad Capital Police to uphold law and order in the city, especially in the context of recent political developments and the conduct of general elections.

The enforcement of section 144 is seen as a necessary step to prevent unrest and ensure that any form of protest or gathering is conducted in a lawful manner, safeguarding both public safety and the democratic process.
