Islamabad, In a significant crackdown against drug peddling, the Islamabad Capital Police, led by the Shalimar police station team, has successfully apprehended two individuals and confiscated a substantial quantity of beer. This operation aligns with the intensified efforts to eliminate drug-related activities in the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the team acted on the special instructions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. The arrested individuals, identified as Muhammad Junaid and Yang Young Jun, were found in possession of 2,040 beer tins. The swift action led to the immediate filing of a case against the accused, with further investigations set to continue.
Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the ICCPO, has instructed all senior officials to enhance the crackdown on those involved in drug peddling. He stressed the commitment of the Islamabad Capital Police to eradicate the drug menace and emphasized the need to protect the youth from the harmful effects of such substances.
