Islamabad Police Nab Two Key Members of Snatcher Gang, Recover Stolen Goods and Weapons

Islamabad: In a strategic operation, the Islamabad Police have successfully arrested two key members of a notorious snatcher gang, responsible for multiple robbery incidents across the city. The arrests were made by the Noon police station team, who also recovered a significant cache of stolen items and weapons.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operation was carried out under the special directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has emphasized an intensified crackdown against criminal activities to secure the city. The successful capture involved the use of both technical surveillance and ground intelligence, which led to the apprehension of the individuals known as Muhammad Amir and Zulfiqar.

The police team seized several motorbikes, mobile phones, a quantity of cash, and weapons from the possession of the arrested individuals. A formal case has been registered, and further investigation is ongoing to determine the extent of their criminal activities and to locate other potential accomplices.

DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza reaffirmed the commitment of the Islamabad Police to safeguarding the residents and their properties, highlighting the proactive measures being taken to maintain peace and order. The police also encouraged citizens to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities or information through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” or the “ICT-15” app to ensure immediate and effective response.
