Islamabad: In an effort to bolster its counter-terrorism capabilities, the Islamabad Police has initiated a seven-day combat refresher course for its Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) officers. This initiative follows directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and is overseen by SSP Hamza Humayun.

The course is designed to provide CTD officers with essential counter-terrorism training. Throughout the week, participants engage in physical training, weapon handling, hostage rescue exercises, and operations aimed at neutralizing armed suspects. These drills focus on maintaining law and order, preparing officers for effective responses to emergency situations.

The CTD of Islamabad has a track record of swiftly launching operations against terrorist threats and criminal activities, showcasing their rigorous training and skills. The department plays a vital role in ensuring the security of the federal capital and preventing incidents that could threaten public safety.
