Islamabad Police Intensify Traffic Rule Enforcement Campaign

Islamabad, In an ongoing effort to enhance road safety and discipline, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified its campaign against traffic rule violations across the city. This initiative focuses on educating road users about lane discipline and the importance of wearing helmets while riding bikes.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the campaign, directed by Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, involves the formation of special teams tasked with monitoring and controlling lane violations on various city roads. These teams are also responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of traffic and strict enforcement of helmet use among motorcyclists.

Police teams are stationed on all major roads and boulevards in Islamabad to educate drivers and riders about traffic regulations. Additionally, FM Radio 92.4 is broadcasting messages to further disseminate information about road safety and traffic rules.

The Islamabad Capital Police has issued an appeal to citizens, urging them to cooperate by adhering to traffic laws. They emphasized that compliance with these laws is not just a legal obligation but a critical measure to ensure a safe road environment. The police have warned that non-compliance with lane discipline and helmet rules will result in fines.

The issuance of traffic violation tickets is not intended as a punitive action but as a means to promote a safer road environment in the capital. By ensuring adherence to traffic rules, the Islamabad Capital Police aims to safeguard the lives of the city’s residents and maintain orderly traffic conditions.
