Islamabad Police Intensify Search Operations, Scrutinize Over 1,000 Individuals


ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to enhance security and curb criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have conducted extensive search and combing operations across various sectors of the capital city, scrutinizing more than 1,000 individuals.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, this initiative follows directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The operations were carried out under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, and monitored by respective zonal SPs. During these operations, police personnel checked a total of 1,005 individuals, 512 households, 44 shops, 72 hotels, 372 motorcycles, and 135 vehicles.



As part of the operations, 57 individuals deemed suspicious, along with 37 motorcycles and one vehicle, were taken to the police station for further verification. Two individuals were arrested, and two daggers were recovered from their possession.



SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized that the primary objective of these operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and enhance security throughout the city. The police continue to take indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers. Residents are urged to report any suspicious activity to their nearest police station or contact the emergency helpline “Pucaar-15.”
