Islamabad Police Intensify Crime Crackdown, Arrest 19 and Recover Contraband


ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to curb crime and enhance public safety, Islamabad Police have apprehended 19 individuals and seized drugs and weapons in a recent crackdown across the federal capital. The arrests are part of an ongoing initiative aimed at safeguarding the lives and properties of citizens.



Police teams from Karachi Company, Sangjani, Noon, and Bhara Kahu stations have successfully arrested four suspects, confiscating 120 grams of hashish, 60 grams of ice, and two pistols along with ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated against these individuals, and investigations are currently underway.



Additionally, as part of a targeted campaign against absconders and proclaimed offenders, police have detained 15 more individuals. The ongoing operations underscore the commitment of law enforcement to maintain public order.



SSP Operations Islamabad reiterated the police’s dedication to ensuring the protection of citizens in the capital. He emphasized that maintaining peace and security is a top priority and that no efforts will be spared in achieving this goal.



The SSP urged residents to promptly report any suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline, Pucar-15. He highlighted the importance of community cooperation in efforts to create a crime-free environment in Islamabad.
