Islamabad: In a concerted effort to enhance public safety, Islamabad Police have apprehended nine suspects and seized weapons in a series of operations across the federal capital.
Police teams from the Koral, Nilore, and Bhara Kahu stations led the crackdown, arresting three individuals and recovering three pistols along with ammunition. The arrests are part of a broader initiative to curb criminal activities and ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property.
Authorities have registered cases against the detained suspects, and investigations are currently underway. In addition to these arrests, a separate campaign targeting absconders and proclaimed offenders resulted in the detention of six more individuals.
SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized the police force’s ongoing commitment to maintaining peace in the city. He reiterated that safeguarding citizens remains the top priority and assured that no one would be allowed to disrupt the capital’s tranquility.
The SSP also encouraged the public to report any suspicious activities promptly, either to local police stations or through the emergency helpline Pucar-15. He highlighted the importance of police-community cooperation in achieving a crime-free environment in Islamabad.
