ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have embarked on a comprehensive search and combing operation in the Noon area, following directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. This initiative is part of a broader effort to curb crime and apprehend criminal elements in the capital.
The operation, conducted by police teams in various sectors of the Noon police station, involved the inspection of 70 individuals, and thorough searches of 74 houses, shops, hotels, and 19 vehicles. Additionally, eight individuals deemed suspicious were taken to the police station for further verification.
Deputy Inspector General Muhammad Jawad Tariq emphasized the operation’s aim to tighten the noose around criminal elements and bolster security throughout the city. He reiterated the police’s commitment to conducting similar operations across Islamabad to target criminals, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
Authorities are also appealing to residents to report any suspicious activity to their local police station or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.”
