ISLAMABAD: In a bid to enhance security and curb criminal activities, Islamabad Police conducted an extensive search and combing operation in the Tarnol area, in accordance with directives issued by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
The operation, part of a series of regular security measures across various parts of Islamabad, involved a coordinated effort to tighten the security framework of the federal capital.
During the operation, the police checked 150 individuals, 15 houses, 5 shops, 15 vehicles, and 55 motorcycles. Additionally, 22 individuals deemed suspicious were taken to the police station for further verification.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad Police, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, underscored the operation’s primary goal of establishing a more robust security environment by targeting criminal elements in the city.
Tariq reiterated that the police would maintain their rigorous approach against criminals, land grabbers, and drug traffickers. He called on citizens to support these efforts by promptly reporting any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or via the emergency helpline, Pucar-15.
This operation represents the ongoing commitment of Islamabad Police to ensure the safety and security of residents in the capital.
