Islamabad Police Intensifies Crackdown on Crime with Targeted Search Operations


ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have executed a large-scale search operation in the Tarnol and Secretariat Police Stations’ jurisdictions as part of an initiative to reinforce public safety and combat criminal activities.



The operation, conducted under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, is part of a wider crackdown aimed at curbing criminal elements in the federal capital.



Authorities reported that during the operation, 321 individuals were checked along with 236 houses, 127 motorcycles, and 45 vehicles. Among those screened, 17 individuals were detained for further verification.



Deputy Inspector General of Police Muhammad Jawad Tariq emphasized that the primary goal of these operations is to increase security by curbing criminal activities throughout the city.



The DIG noted that similar operations are ongoing in various sectors, and the police are committed to taking firm action against criminals, land mafias, and drug dealers without discrimination.



He encouraged residents to assist law enforcement efforts by reporting any suspicious activities to local police stations or using the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.”
