Islamabad Police Hosts Farewell Ceremony for ATS Instructor Inspector Muhammad Akmal

ISLAMABAD, The Islamabad Police held a farewell ceremony at the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Headquarters in honor of Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) instructor Inspector Muhammad Akmal, as announced by a public relations officer.

According to Islamabad Police, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) CTD attended the event as the chief guest. The ceremony also saw the presence of the Superintendent of Police (SP) CTD admin, other senior officers, and officials. During the event, the SSP CTD conveyed best wishes on behalf of the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan to Inspector Akmal upon his retirement. He reflected on the inevitability of retirement as a natural phase in a police officer’s career.

The SSP CTD also addressed the serving police officials, urging them to strive for excellence and respect in their service. He emphasized the importance of dedication and devotion in public service as means to earn a commendable reputation.

Further highlighting Inspector Akmal’s career, the SSP CTD recognized his contributions across various divisions of the Islamabad Capital Police. He commended Inspector Akmal for his responsible execution of duties and his role in ensuring the effectiveness of the department’s operations. The SSP CTD remarked that Inspector Akmal’s efforts in the success of Islamabad Capital Police would be notably remembered.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Inspector Akmal was honored with a police shield, and the SSP CTD extended his best wishes for Akmal’s future endeavors.

Inspector Muhammad Akmal’s career with the Islamabad Capital Police began as a constable, from which he ascended to the rank of Inspector. His journey included completing various departmental courses and demonstrating a strong commitment to his duties. Notably, he served in the Anti-Terrorist Squad and was instrumental in leading the Islamabad Capital Police to four victories in the “All Pakistan Police Shuhada Memorial Shooting Competition.” Additionally, he received a gold medal in a VVIP protection course in the USA.
