Islamabad Police Enhance Traffic Management Strategy in Federal Capital

Islamabad: In a concerted effort to improve traffic management in the federal capital, DG Safe City and DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joya convened a meeting with senior officers from the Motorway, Islamabad, Rawalpindi Traffic Police, and Punjab Highway Patrol.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting was attended by key figures such as DIG North Motorway Inam-ur-Rehman, Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, and SP Traffic Rawalpindi Munir Hashmi. The discussions centered on ensuring smooth traffic flow in public areas to prevent congestion. Plans were outlined to deploy additional traffic officers in the coming days to maintain uninterrupted traffic flow.

The meeting also emphasized the role of Safe City cameras in supporting traffic officers and strengthening control over traffic violations. These measures aim to ensure that citizens experience minimal inconvenience. In case of any issues, citizens are encouraged to reach out through the emergency helpline Pukar-15 or the traffic helpline 1915. Maintaining law and order and providing optimal travel facilities remain a top priority for Islamabad Police.
