Islamabad: In a significant crackdown on criminal activities, Islamabad Police have successfully arrested 39 individuals accused of various offenses, recovering a substantial quantity of drugs and weapons. According to Islamabad Capital Police, teams arrested 22 individuals involved in different criminal activities, seizing 1,185 grams of hashish, 1,697 grams of ice, 570 grams of heroin, two guns, one rifle, and 13 pistols with ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated against these individuals, with investigations currently underway.
Additionally, the police, as part of a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, arrested 18 criminals. This operation follows directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the federal capital.
SSP Security Operations Islamabad Suleman Zafar emphasized the commitment of the Islamabad Police to protect the lives and property of residents, stating that maintaining peace is a top priority. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to aid in crime eradication through public cooperation.
