Islamabad: In a concerted effort to curb criminal activities in the capital, the Islamabad Police have arrested 11 individuals involved in various crimes, recovering drugs and a weapon in the process.
Law enforcement teams from the Golra, Sangjani, Phulgran, Khanna, and Noon police stations detained six suspects linked to criminal activities. During the operations, the police seized 1,081 grams of heroin, 32 grams of methamphetamine, commonly known as “ice,” and a pistol with ammunition.
In a parallel initiative targeting fugitives, police units apprehended an additional five criminals. Legal proceedings have been initiated against those arrested, and investigations are continuing.
These efforts are part of a broader directive by the Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at intensifying the campaign against criminal elements to maintain peace in Islamabad.
The Islamabad Police emphasized their commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of residents and stated that disruptive elements will not be tolerated. The protection of citizens remains the primary focus of the police force.
Authorities also encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activity to their nearest police station or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” stressing the importance of public cooperation in the fight against crime.
