Islamabad Police Crack Down on Crime, Arrest 26 and Seize Weapons and Drugs

Islamabad: In a concerted effort to enhance public safety, Islamabad Police have arrested 26 individuals connected to criminal activities and seized a range of illegal items, including drugs and firearms, across the federal capital.

Officials reported that the arrests were part of an ongoing crackdown aimed at curbing crime and ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property. Police teams from various stations, including Aabpara, Karachi Company, Golra, and others, executed the operation.

The operation led to the recovery of 10 bottles of liquor, 2,070 grams of hashish, as well as ice, two rifles, ten pistols with ammunition, and two daggers. Legal proceedings have been initiated against those apprehended, with further investigations underway.

Additionally, six individuals classified as absconders and proclaimed offenders were detained during a special campaign focused on capturing fugitives.

SSP Operations Islamabad Muhammad Shoaib Khan emphasized the police force’s commitment to maintaining peace in the city. He urged residents to report any suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” highlighting the importance of community cooperation in making Islamabad crime-free.
