Islamabad: In an effort to sustain peace and tranquility, the Islamabad Police, alongside various law enforcement departments, conducted a flag march through the central areas of the city, as stated by a public relations officer.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the march began and concluded at Jinnah Avenue, weaving through key zones of the city to bolster security measures. The initiative forms part of broader efforts to handle any potential emergencies effectively.
DIG Islamabad Syed Ali Raza articulated the police’s commitment to maintaining citywide peace, highlighting the readiness of all forces to respond swiftly to any adverse incidents. Enhanced security protocols have been implemented at all city entry and exit points, with the Dolphin Squad actively patrolling diverse sectors. Moreover, senior police officers have received directives to oversee their respective areas meticulously and to inspect duty points from a security perspective.
Additionally, the DIG appealed to residents to support the police during routine checks and to report any suspicious activities using the emergency helpline Pucar-15 or the ICT-15 app, ensuring that all necessary measures are taken to protect the community’s safety and property.
