ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to address crime in the federal capital, the Islamabad Police conducted extensive search and combing operations resulting in the checking of over 475 individuals. The initiative, directed by Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aims to intensify the crackdown on criminal elements within the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. The operations included checks on 236 households, 47 shops, 47 hotels, 224 motorcycles, and 97 vehicles. During these operations, 35 individuals deemed suspicious and 15 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification.
SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized that the primary goal of these operations is to tighten security measures and target criminal elements effectively. The operations are part of ongoing efforts across the district, focusing on actions against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
The police have urged citizens to report any suspicious activities promptly to their nearest police station or contact the emergency helpline “Pucaar-15.”
