ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police, under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has launched extensive search and combing operations across the capital, checking over 515 individuals in an effort to curb crime and crack down on criminal elements. The operations also included the examination of 210 households, 42 shops, 14 hotels, 263 motorcycles, and 71 vehicles.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. The operations led to the detention of six suspicious individuals, along with 14 motorcycles and two vehicles, which were taken to the police station for further verification. Additionally, individuals in possession of illegal weapons were apprehended, resulting in the recovery of two pistols and ammunition.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that the goal of these operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and enhance security measures in the city. He noted that the police are conducting similar operations throughout the district to take indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
