Islamabad Police Conduct Extensive Search Operations in City

ISLAMABAD: In an effort to enhance security and curb criminal activities, the Islamabad Police conducted extensive search and combing operations, resulting in the thorough checking of 684 individuals across the city’s precincts. The operations were carried out under the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted in multiple police station jurisdictions under the supervision of zonal SPs, involving the checking of 246 houses, 72 shops, 19 hotels, 312 motorcycles, and 108 vehicles. The operations led to the detention of 23 suspicious individuals and the impounding of 28 motorcycles and two vehicles for further legal proceedings.

SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, highlighted the main aim of these operations as tightening the security cordon around criminal elements and reinforcing the city’s security framework. He stated that the police would continue their indiscriminate actions against criminals, land grabbers, and drug traffickers. Citizens were also urged to cooperate with law enforcement and report any suspicious activity through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15”.
