Karachi, The Islamabad Capital Police successfully concluded a three-day weapon handling training course at the Police Line Headquarters, where 25 participants received basic knowledge and training in weapons handling. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the safety and emergency response capabilities of the citizens of Islamabad.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the training course was organized following special directions from the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. The series of self-defense courses aims to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property and to equip them with the skills necessary to handle emergency situations effectively.
The closing ceremony of this training course was held at the Police Line Headquarters, where the AIG Logistics presided as the chief guest. During the event, certificates were distributed to the participants who successfully completed the training. The chief guest remarked that the primary objective of conducting this course was to impart essential knowledge about weapons, their safe usage, and self-defense techniques applicable in various emergency scenarios.
Furthermore, the chief guest mentioned that the Islamabad Capital Police plans to organize several friendly policing programs in the future. These initiatives are intended to bridge the gap between the police and citizens and promote community policing.
