Islamabad Police Concludes 23rd Annual Summer School Camp with Community Engagement Focus

Islamabad: The Islamabad Police recently celebrated the conclusion of its 23rd Summer School Camp, an event that underscores its ongoing commitment to community policing and public engagement. The closing ceremony was hosted at the Police Lines Headquarters, attended by high-ranking officials, participating children, and their families.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the camp, which is designed for children aged 4 to 14, offers an array of activities including first aid training, swimming, self-defense, physical exercises, archery, and martial arts, aligning with the department’s objectives to foster positive community relations and equip young participants with a diverse set of practical skills. This initiative follows directly from the directives of Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aiming to strengthen mutual confidence between the police force and the community it serves.

The month-long program is entirely self-funded by participants and is part of a broader strategy to integrate community policing within the regular activities of the Islamabad Police, a practice initiated in 2002. The feedback from parents has been overwhelmingly positive, praising the police for their efforts in providing a constructive and engaging environment for their children.
