Islamabad Police Chief Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi Conducts Open Forum to Address Public Grievances

Islamabad: In an effort to foster transparency and direct communication between the police force and the public, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, hosted a Khuli Katchery at the Central Police Office. This open forum allowed citizens and police officers alike to present their concerns directly to the highest levels of the city’s police leadership.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, IGP Rizvi personally listened to the issues raised during the forum and issued immediate directives to ensure their resolution. Emphasizing the importance of merit and responsiveness in policing, he affirmed that negligence and carelessness in duties would not be tolerated under his watch.

During the session, IGP Rizvi reiterated his commitment to accessibility, declaring his office always open to the public for addressing any police-related concerns. He also set clear expectations for his staff, mandating that all officers, especially Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs), adhere strictly to office hours designated for public interactions.

In a move to uphold law and order, he further instructed continued rigorous actions against land grabbers and stressed the importance of bringing such offenders to justice swiftly. This directive aligns with broader efforts by the Islamabad Police to enhance their service and address community issues proactively.

IGP Rizvi also highlighted the routine organization of Khuli Katcheries as a crucial measure for promptly addressing and resolving public issues, demonstrating the department’s dedication to improving police-community relations. Moreover, he directed all zonal officers and SHOs to ensure they meet with citizens during designated office hours to resolve their issues efficiently and fairly.

This initiative by the Islamabad police aims to enhance the effectiveness of police services and strengthen trust between the community and law enforcement officials.
