Islamabad Police Chief Emphasizes Merit-Based Public Issue Resolution at Open Katchery

Islamabad: In a recent public engagement session, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, underscored the importance of resolving public and police-related issues based on merit. The session, held at the Central Police Office, was part of a broader initiative to improve community relations and enhance the accountability of the police force.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the IGP listened to grievances from citizens and police officers during the Khuli Katchery and issued immediate directives for their resolution. Rizvi emphasized the importance of diligence and accountability, stating that negligence would not be tolerated and that the police must prioritize the prompt and fair handling of public complaints.

The IGP further instructed all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) to adhere strictly to office hours dedicated to public interactions, reinforcing the commitment to resolve issues efficiently. Additionally, he directed a continued crackdown on land grabbing, highlighting the need for law enforcement to actively combat this issue and bring offenders to justice.

Rizvi also mentioned the daily operations of Khuli Katchery as a critical measure for swiftly addressing public concerns, thereby improving the relationship between the community and the police.
