Islamabad Police Capture Two Members of Snatcher Gang, Seize Stolen Goods and Weapons

Islamabad, In a recent operation, the Anti Robbery and Dacoity Unit (ARDU) of the Islamabad Capital Police successfully apprehended two wanted members of a snatcher gang, seizing cash, mobile phones, a motorbike, and weapons used in their crimes.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests are part of a city-wide crackdown against criminal activities, following orders from Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan. The intensified efforts aim to eradicate crime from the city.

The ARDU police team, employing technical and human intelligence, located and arrested Murtaza Khan and Arbaz, both identified as key members of a notorious snatcher gang. The gang has been implicated in various snatching incidents throughout the city. Alongside the arrests, police recovered stolen cash, multiple mobile phones, a motorbike, and weapons associated with their criminal operations. Cases have been registered against the accused, and further investigations are ongoing to possibly uncover more criminal activities.

Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, ICCPO, has issued strict directives to all senior officials to enhance their crackdown efforts against individuals involved in criminal activities. He emphasized the importance of safeguarding citizens’ lives and properties as a top priority.

This operation signifies a crucial step taken by the Islamabad Capital Police in their ongoing mission to ensure public safety and maintain law and order in the city.
