Islamabad: In a ceremony held at the Police Lines Headquarters, Islamabad Police honored 36 officers for their courage and dedication. The event, part of “Ghazi Week,” was attended by Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, senior officers, and families of the honorees.
The ceremony paid tribute to the sacrifices of the officers, with 21 receiving Shujaat medals and 15 awarded Ghazi medals. Alongside the medals, the Shujaat recipients were also given Rs. 200,000, while the Ghazi awardees received Rs. 100,000, in addition to certificates of appreciation.
IGP Rizvi highlighted that 131 officers have been recognized as Ghazis for their unwavering commitment in the line of duty, often risking their lives. He emphasized the bravery of these officers and the significant role of their families, who support their noble mission.
Rizvi praised the spirit of sacrifice among the officers, describing them as a crucial asset to the nation. He acknowledged the families present, saluting them for raising such courageous individuals dedicated to serving their country.
The ceremony underscored the valor and dedication of the Islamabad Police, honoring those who put their lives on the line for the safety and security of others.
