ISLAMABAD: In a series of operations targeting criminal activities, the Islamabad Police arrested 24 individuals and recovered a significant cache of drugs and weapons.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made by teams from various police stations including Margalla, Sumbal, Tarnol, Noon, Shams Colony, Khanna, Koral, Sihala, Humak, Bhara Kahu, and Shahzad Town. The operations led to the confiscation of 2,830 grams of hashish, 119 grams of crystal meth, 120 liters of liquor, 10 pistols with ammunition, and two daggers. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused, with investigations currently underway.

The police also apprehended four individuals identified as proclaimed offenders and absconders as part of a focused campaign. The initiative aligns with directives from IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, emphasizing a continued effort to maintain peace in the federal capital.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza affirmed the police’s dedication to safeguarding the community, urging residents to report suspicious activities through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to bolster crime prevention efforts.
