ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have arrested 18 individuals allegedly involved in criminal activities and seized a significant quantity of drugs and weapons, as part of a continuing crackdown on crime in the capital. The arrests, which include 17 individuals accused of various criminal activities and one proclaimed offender, resulted in the recovery of nearly two kilograms of ice, over three and a half kilograms of heroin, and ten pistols with ammunition.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, these arrests and seizures are a part of a broader initiative directed by Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aiming to maintain peace and security in Islamabad. The police have registered cases against the accused, with further investigations currently underway.

SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the commitment of the Islamabad Police to safeguard the lives and properties of citizens, stating that no criminal elements will be tolerated. The police have also encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activities to local authorities or through the Pucar-15 emergency helpline to aid in the eradication of crime through community cooperation.
