Islamabad: In a significant operation, the Islamabad Police have arrested 18 individuals suspected of criminal activities and recovered a haul of drugs and weapons. According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests include 12 individuals involved in diverse criminal activities, with law enforcement officials seizing 1,100 grams of hashish, 1,009 grams of ice, 45 bottles of liquor, and four pistols with ammunition from them.
Cases against the arrested individuals have been registered, and investigations are ongoing. Additionally, six more criminals were apprehended during a targeted campaign aimed at capturing proclaimed offenders and absconders. This initiative is part of a broader strategy directed by Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to intensify efforts against criminal elements and maintain order in the capital.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police force’s dedication to safeguarding citizens’ lives and property, asserting that any threat to public peace will be addressed decisively. The Islamabad Police urged residents to report suspicious activities to local stations or through the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline, highlighting the importance of public cooperation in crime prevention.
